Rotary Interact and Other Exciting Developments in Rotary

Former Rotary District Gov Bill Dendy will speak at this week's meeting of CFB Rotary on Thursday, October 8, at 12 noon at Brookhaven Country Club. Bill's topic will be Rotary Interact–Rotary's leadership development program for youth ages 12-18 who want to connect with others in their community or school--along with other exciting developments.

Bill joined Rotary in 2000 and served as Rotary District Governor in North Texas 2016-17. During his tenure as Governor, District 5810 led the zone in new members. Additionally, the North Texas District was recognized as top district for public relations in the paired zones. Foundation giving also increased and overall Foundation contributions increased by over $1 million. District events, including the governor’s installation, RI convention, Foundation 100th Birthday Party, and the district conference saw major increases in attendance. Bill believes that membership, public image, Foundation giving, and attendance are all tied together, and that Rotary should be a fun and positive experience.
