The well we have helped sponsor with the Prestonwood Rotary Club at the school in Northern Zambia is now operational, just in time for the holidays.

They bored the hole a couple weeks ago, put the cement internal collar in, put a cap on it, and completed it with a state-of-the-art Mack II hand pump made in India.  The pump is  all self-contained (sealed so there is no way for weather to corrode it), you only have to prime it once for the lifetime of the pump, and is easy enough for a child to pump clean, safe water up from a depth of 75 meters.

What a blessing it is to share clean water with this village. These projects really do change a community.
