In April 2013, the Rotary Clubs of Carrollton-Farmers Branch and Montego Bay, Jamaica completed their seventh joint International Service Project together.  The following is a photo blog of the experience...

In late March, Rotarians Pete Cross and Regina Edwards, and Baylor Health Care System's Faith in Action Initiatives Director Donald Sewell packed 5 1/2 boxes (weighing 154 lbs.) of medical supplies generously donated by Baylor Health Care System.  Thank you, Baylor!!!

A detailed manifest was prepared and sent to the Montego Bay Rotary Club so Past-President Bhagwan Chuganey could coordinate with the Ministry of Health in Kingston, Jamaica, allowing these items to enter the country duty-free.

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Rotary Club purchased $80 in toys and Regina's sons were charged with packing the stuffed animals and toys that we collected for Cornwall Regional Hospital and Blessed Assurance and West Haven disabled children's homes.  (God Bless the girl scout that donated MOST of these stuffed animals.  Thanks Kaylee!)

At 4:30 am on Monday, April 15th, the Southwest Airlines staff at Love Field were ready for our Club's 8 large boxes.  Southwest/AirTran provided free shipping which made this trip possible.  Thank you so much!!!

Austin and Regina arrived at the Montego Bay airport on Monday afternoon.  After clearing customs, the boxes were loaded into the truck bound for the hospital.  Three local Rotarians met us at the airport -- the woman in the red shirt is the Club President Roxanne Smith and the gentleman is our fabulous friend Past-President Bhagwan Chuganey with whom we stayed this trip.  He works on the Jamaica-side of this transaction so we can clear customs and bring the hospital what it needs.  Our Rotarian friend Ben Buls took the photo and helped with all the boxes.
