Twenty-seven members participated as CFB Rotary hosted our first-ever Virtual Membership Meeting via Zoom, hosted by Erin Carter and our friends at Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce.
President David Hale called us to order with a digital bell, and led us in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and the Four-Way Test. Bill Lovell led us in a prayer.
Chief Hale and Bill Bexley reported on a major donation by CFB Rotary to Metrocrest Services. All members then had the opportunity to give a brief update on themselves. Dick Calvert had quite a story to share, and Victoria Mendoza from Metrocrest Services thanked the Club for our donation and gave a moving report on their work helping local families with unprecedented need.
Chief Hale thanked everyone for participating as he adjourned the meeting a little after 1pm. Plans are underway for future Zoom meetings.
