Never Fear! We never miss a good sale or an opportunity to serve our community
This week our club partnered with the Target Store in Carrollton at Josey Lane and George Bush Tollway to donate approximately $2,500 in school supplies to CFB-ISD.  It was just our luck that the store’s Asset Protection Executive Team Lead Scott Keen is a former police officer who works with the Carrollton Police Department to sponsor some of its events and he loves kid-related charities. He coordinated the donation from Target of $1,000 and allowed our club to purchase another $1,500 in supplies at 90% off. The supplies will be distributed to various schools as Dr. Burns and his staff see fit.

Eric D, Store Team Leader and Billy D, Asset Protection Senior Target Protection Specialist and Aubry V, Sales Floor Senior Team Leader posed with the items inside the store in front of Target's "Do 5% Good" sign. (These nice men also loaded the items in Regina’s van as a special bonus versus at the school admin building 4 women moved everything inside.  “No animals were harmed in the ….” (as they say) but a few boxes were kicked a few times to fit through the doorway and 1 box fell. But the mission was completed.)

TARGET is committed to giving back 5% to helping individual communities and proudly supports schools. “Target encourages a love of learning in classrooms and beyond.”  For years, C-FB Rotary has purchased school supplies at Target but this year Target in Carrollton stepped up with this great donation.

Don’t forget, earlier in the school year, our club donated $300 in supplies to Victoria Mendoza at Farmers Branch Elementary to be used for the mentoring program this year.  Others in the club personally donated even more funds so she could buy back packs and other necessities.

Please support the 2010 Gala. The money we raise there will buy more supplies for the CFB-ISD kids in Fall, 2011.
It is a circle of never-ending giving and service.  You give to the Club via the Gala in the fall and your money and support are spread throughout the community throughout the year.  Thank you!
