At the December meeting, the Board voted to sponsor club member Pat Cochran to participate in Rotary International’s National Immunization Day (NID) Experience in India in 2026. Pat will proudly represent our club at a national level as part of Rotary’s global effort to eradicate polio.
National Immunization Day is a cornerstone Rotary initiative in which Rotarians from around the world join together to deliver oral polio vaccinations to children under five years of age. This coordinated effort helps prevent the resurgence of polio and advances Rotary’s long-standing mission to eliminate the disease worldwide.
The 2026 NID team will be led by PDG Nancy Barbee, and the program will include:
- Hands-on participation in child vaccination efforts
- Visits to Rotary projects and partner organizations such as WHO and UNICEF
- Engagements with medical and humanitarian leaders
- Cultural and service learning visits in Delhi, Agra, Kolkata, and Dhanbad
The estimated program cost is $3,395 plus airfare, with participation limited to 25 Rotarians worldwide.
By supporting Pat’s involvement, our club is helping strengthen Rotary’s impact on a global scale and reaffirming our commitment to humanitarian service beyond our local community.
Members who wish to make a personal contribution toward Pat’s trip are warmly invited to do so, and your support will be greatly appreciated.
We are proud to have Pat represent CFB Rotary in this meaningful international service initiative and look forward to hearing about the experience upon her return.
Thank you for your continued service Pat!
