Not your stereotypical spy! Our guest speaker at today's meeting of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Rotary Club was Tracy Walder, a mild-mannered college history professor who formerly worked for the CIA and the FBI, tracking and engaging some of the world's most dangerous villains.
Tracy recounted her experiences, including unexpected discrimination as a woman, in her book, The Unexpected Spy: From the CIA to the FBI, My Secret Life Chasing Down Some of the World’s Most Notorious Terrorists, a best-selling audiobook soon to be turned into a TV program on ABC.
Tracy now works as a history professor at Texas Christian University. She also serves on the board of Girl Security, a non-profit whose mission is to close the gender gap in national security through learning, training, and mentoring support for girls. Tracy is a happily married mother of one!
