The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Rotary Club has donated $20,000 to Metrocrest Services to provide urgently needed assistance to those in our community who have been most impacted by COVID-19. This is in addition to last month's donation of $2,750 by the Club and District.

On April 9, at its first Zoom Board Meeting, the Club's Board of Directors voted to respond to what Club President David Hale called "an unprecedented crisis" by giving Metrocrest part of the remaining community foundation funds following completion late last year of the all-accessible Playground at Rosemeade Park in Carrollton

The donation of $20,000 will enable Metrocrest to purchase food and provide rent assistance. CEO Tracy Eubanks recently posted a video reporting on Metrocrest Services' impact in the community.

  • Last week, the food pantry was up by 376% in pantry visits, compared to the same week last year.
  • The food pantry served 635 families last week, distributing 31,000 meals.
  • Since March 13th, our Emergency Assistance team has assisted 201 families with rent or utilities to avoid eviction or disconnection.
We invite others to help those in need by providing a donation to Metrocrest Services. Just click on Donation and be as generous as you can. A $100.00 donation will feed 28 people for a week.
