Christine Volkmer
Equest Therapeutic Horesmanship

This week's CFB Rotary Club Meeting on Thursday at noon will feature a presentation by Christine Volkmer, Director of Community Engagement at Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship.

Equest's mission is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs by partnering with horses in bringing hope and healing through equine-assisted activities and therapy. Equest relies on over 145 volunteers each week to provide therapeutic services to their clients.
Equest serves children and adults with diverse cognitive, physical, intellectual, learning, and social-emotional differences as well as first-responders, veterans and active duty military members.

Prior to her engagement with Equest, Christine directed a Public Relations agency for 14 years. Her proudest moment in her PR career is from a story she pitched to the Oprah Show. It was announced on Oprah’s closing show on ABC that it was Oprah’s all-time favorite story of all her years on the network.

Christine has been with Equest since 2016 doing everything from event coordination to fundraising efforts to community and corporate relations. She is also the proud mom of six sons and seven grandsons. All in all, over 800,000 individuals in North Texas have a disability and need life-changing therapeutic services.

Please join us Thursday at noon!
