WELCOME TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF CARROLLTON-FARMERS BRANCH

Rotary is a world-wide network made up of 1.2 million Rotarians who serve in over 35,000 clubs to help make the world and the communities in which they serve, work and live a better place.  The Rotary motto is “Service Above Self” and this year's Rotary theme set by Rotary International President Holger Knaak is "Rotary Opens Opportunities.” Rotary is a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, and has reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent since its first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.

Our club meets on Thursdays at Brookhaven Country Club at 11:45 a.m. for lunch. (You may also attend our meetings on-line.) The Carrollton-Farmers Branch club was chartered on November 30, 1960 and will celebrate its 60th birthday this year. Our club is made up of 70 business and civic leaders that meet each week and enjoy an informative program about many different interesting topics.

Over the past two years, our Club’s signature projects were All Accessible Playgrounds in the cities of both Carrollton and Farmers Branch. The equipment is fully accessible for handicapped children so that all children can interface and play together.  Please check out the “We Go Round,” a new innovative piece of playground equipment at the Rotary Playground at Rosemeade Park.

Our club also supports several wonderful local charitable organizations with funding and hands-on volunteerism. We would love to have you visit our club for lunch and join us in our mission to serve our community. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
