Once every year, students from the 4 Carrollton Farmers Branch High Schools compete by giving a speech using the 4-Way test as their topic.  Their interoperation of the 4-Way Test is always different as they apply the four guiding principles to their own life experiences.  This year was no different.  Mitchell Ferguson from Creekview High School, Justice Chandler from Ranch View High School, Kathy Chan from Newman Smith High School, and Miguel Olguin from R.L. Turner High School remind us that the future of our community is bright.  All of their speeches were outstanding making the judging very difficult.
Thanks to Dick Calvert for is efforts in coordinating this year’s contest and thanks goes out to the Carrollton Farmers Branch School District staff that works with these students to help them be the best they can be.
What a privilege to be part of the audience.

Second place this year went to Kathy Chan from Newman Smith and first place went to Mitchell Ferguson from Creek View.  Dick Calvert handed out checks they may use for such things as  traveling expenses to competitions, visits to universities, or  however they wish.
