On November 5th members of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Rotary Club, in partnership with the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Committee and the City of Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation Department, planted 50 trees in Farmers Branch Historical Park to celebrate our club's 50th anniversary.  We are celebrating 50 years of Service Above Self.  The planting of these trees will be a lasting gift to the City of Farmers Branch not to mention a wonderful addition to one of the Metroplex’s beautiful urban parks.

While it was a lot of hard work it was also a FUN activity for our members and those from the city that help.  Thank goodness the city dug the holes.  Planting the trees, however, was no easy task.  It took some strong backs to lift the trees in place and then backfill the dirt.
